Parent Support and Advocacy for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Getting your child ready for college or university? Optimist Clubs offer a scholarship competition for our Deaf and hard of hearing kids!

Everyone's favourite astronaut Chris Hadfield will be leading this year's Music Monday, on 6 May, when hundreds of thousands of students across Canada join together to sing. This year, the kids at E.C. Drury will be taking part too, and the song, "I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)," has been translated into ASL!

Mayfest is coming soon, in both Ottawa and Toronto.

Save the date! Elmvale Zoo Day will be on 8 June 2013! More info coming soon!

Date change for Swimming with Deaf Access Simcoe-Muskoka. Swim day will now be 11 May, not 4 May.

Hands & Voices is dedicated to supporting families with children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing without a bias around communication modes or methodology. We're a parent-driven, non-profit organization providing families with the resources, networks, and information they need to improve communication access and educational outcomes for their children. Our outreach activities, parent/professional collaboration, and advocacy efforts are focused on enabling Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing children to reach their highest potential.

If you are interested in joining the Ontario chapter, please visit our membership page or email info@ontariohandsandvoices.com. Or if you are interested in setting up a chapter in your own province, visit www.handsandvoices.org
